Instructions

      In your browser, visit "http://www.testmy.net/".
      This website will quickly provide you with some tests to check your internet connection speed.
    • 2
      On this website, click the first blue arrow titled "Click to go to download test section".
    • 3
      Now you should see a listing of available tests to check your internet connection speed.
      Click on the first test at the top of the list of tests for your internet connection, titled "SmarTest".
    • 4
      This will start testing your speed with different sizes of data. After the tests are complete, you'll see your internet connection speed compared to other common results like "Average comcast" , "Typical Cable" or "Typical Satellite".
      You can use these results to check your internet connection speed to other typical internet connection speeds.

      Try this test a couple times to get a good average of your connection speed.
      Note: Your internet connection speed can vary based on what time of day it is , how many users you have on the network and also what type of internet connection you have at home.
