How to choose the best quality color mod parts for your iPhone 4

Just because Apple never made colored iPhone parts doesn’t mean you can’t find good ones if you know what you’re looking for. If you have an  iPhone 4  and you want to swap out the standard Apple black or white backplate for something more colorful — like red or blue — it can be a challenge to find the best, high quality parts. Backplate swaps especially are an easy  DIY  project, but you want to pay careful attention to the supplier, the materials they’re using, the specific model of iPhone 4 you’re ordering for (AT&T/GSM is different than Verizon/Sprint/CDMA), and that you have all the tools you need for the job. Only order iPhone 4 parts from a reputable supplier Make sure the back is made of glass, not plastic As tempting as it can be to order colored parts on eBay or Amazon because of the low price tag, keep in mind that it’ll cost you more to replace your iPhone 4 if faulty parts cause something to go wrong. iPhone 5 leaked photo suggests elongated Home button and larger display

While we can’t verify the validity of the photo you see above, it appears that the photo was taken at a Wintek factory where workers were inspecting the alleged iPhone 5 screens. Now if you have been following the iPhone 5 rumors, you know that many are suggesting that the iPhone 5 will featuring an almost edge-to-edge display along with an elongated Home button, which would also allow for gestures. The photo above has actually been enlarged hence the pixelation, but if you look closely, it appears that the front panel of the iPhone 5 does indeed feature a slightly elongated Home button along with the rumored edge-to-edge display. We’re not sure how the person managed to grab such a clear photo in the Wintek factory, and in a section of the factory which we’re assuming where no cameras/photography is allowed. Unless these are actually iPhone 4 front panels that someone has painstakingly photoshopped to make them look like the rumored iPhone 5, then what we are looking at here co...

iPhone 5 concept looks sleek

Speculations are up in the air to when the next iPhone will be released, the features it’s going to have and most importantly – how it should look like. A lot of people believe that Apple will be keeping the design of the iPhone 4, while others believe that it’s going to have a dramatic facelift. Antoine Brieux of NAK Studio recently came up with his own ideas of what the iPhone 5 would look like, and boy it sure looks sleek. In some ways it reminds me of an elongated iPod Nano (due to the colored aluminum and shape of the bezel) but that isn’t a bad thing since I thought the iPod Nano looked pretty good in the first place. But if the next iPhone 5 looks this good or even better – it’s going to have no trouble selling (not that it would have any trouble in the first place). What do you think of this iPhone 5 concept design?

World’s Most Expensive iPhones

While Apple’s iPhone is already something of a luxury device, there are clearly some who believe it just isn’t flashy enough. Luckily for them (and those of us who write about such things), luxury designers have created these—the most expensive iPhones in the world. Goldstriker iPhone 4G Diamond Edition – $19,460 Stuart Hughes of Goldstriker International presents the iPhone 4G Diamond Edition, likely the first of a bevy of luxury editions of Apple’s latest iPhone. Hughes has adorned the phone’s surrounding metal band with 6.5 carats of VVS diamonds and, on the back, recreated Apple’s iconic logo in platinum and diamonds. The iPhone 4G Diamond Edition has 32 GB of memory and is factory unlocked so you can enjoy it regardless of your wireless carrier. It also comes with an ostrich-foot wallet with pockets for up to four credit cards. If you want the phone, though, you’ll have to act soon–only 50 will be made. Peter Aloisson’s iPhone Princess Plus – $176,400 The Princess P...
