OpenID is rapidly gaining adoption on the web, with over   one billion OpenID enabled user accounts   and   over 50,000 websites accepting OpenID   for logins.  Several large organizations either issue or accept OpenIDs, including Google, Face book, Yahoo, Microsoft, AOL, MySpace, Sears, Universal Music Group, France Telecom, Novell, Sun, Telecom Italia, and many more. Open ID is a portable, single digital identity that users can use across the web. Anyone with an OpenID can sign into any site that wants to accept OpenID, without having to create a new username and password.   An OpenID is a way of identifying yourself   no matter which web site you visit . It's like a driver's license for the entire Internet.
