Airbnb: Find Your Vacation Rental on iPhone

When going out-of-town or overseas, one of the first things you take note off is the lodging. Travelers, in many cases, go around town to find places to stay, and this can be quite a hassle, especially if most of the places are fully booked. This concern is readily addressed by an iPhone application that acts as an  online booking  and rental solution for bed and breakfasts: Airbnb. The Airbnb application, just like its website , lets users book and reserve their accommodations on the Internet, with the use of their mobile phone. The repository of rooms and bed and breakfasts is massive, providing you at least a decent number of  lodging  options all across the globe. This bodes well for practical travelers, as they won’t be forced to spend several nights at a pricey hotel. Airbnb’s listing of bed and breakfasts is well organized. You can zone in on particular lodging types, such as Shared Room, Entire Place and Private Room. Booking a reservation is as...

How to sell your old iPad before upgrading to the new iPad 3

You’ve decided you’re going to buy an  iPad 3 , sight unseen, the moment Apple lets you give them your money.  Do you also  want to get a jumpstart on selling your old iPad before the market gets saturated? No problem! If you’re not handing it down to a friend or family member, or keeping it around the office as a backup device, why not get some cash back and put it towards the purchase of Apple’s next big tablet device? It’s a relatively straight forward process, but there are some things to be careful about, so here’s how to get started. Getting more for your old iPad You’ll never get back all the money you poured into your current iPad, but there are some things you can do to maximize the value before you sell. Jailbreak : This isn’t as important as it is with selling old iPhones, especially since 3G iPads are unlocked by default, but a jailbroken iPad can still do things a  stock  one can’t and some buyers will value that. If you are new to jailbr...

Osmos HD [Android Game Review]

YouTube link for mobile viewing Space : The final frontier. These are the voyages of the  galactic mote  space amoeba. Its single-level mission: To not get eaten by bigger, nastier, red space amoebae and to  boldly go  where no space amoeba has gone before. Oh, hey everyone. I've just introduced you to Osmos HD. There's not much to say about it, really. You start off as a small, worthless little blue space amoeba that hungers to be the biggest amoeba around. How do you get there? By eating the little guys, of course. Watch out, though. If you're not careful, bigger guys than yourself will be feasting on your space matter, too. First things first. If you're going to become the biggest fish in an incredibly large pool, you've got to know how to move around. Tap on the sides of your space amoeba and he'll eject little bits of himself (gross) to propel him where you want him to float. The double-edge to this rule, however, is that you're  actually ej...

Waze Android App Review

The world of consumer electronics is not for the faint of heart. A company comes up with a brilliant new product that suddenly gets enormously popular but then before you know it, the next big thing arrives and the previous market demand evaporates. Exhibit A - just a few years ago, netbook computers were all the rage right up until the moment  Apple launched the iPad  in early 2010.  Closer to the garage, Apple also triggered disruption in how we find our way to our driving destinations. Earlier in the last decade a new generation of smaller, cheaper GPS receiver chips made low cost personal navigation devices (PND) a very popular replacement for old school paper maps. When the first iPhone came to market in mid-2007, it ushered in an era of new smartphones with built in GPS. One of the first apps on those iPhones was  Google Maps .  At first Google Maps was limited to showing your current location on the map helping users to find their way around in ...

ZTE Warp Review

The market for prepaid cell phones continues to rise as more of us look for ways to reduce expenses in everyday life but no one wants to be stuck with a run of the mill phone because of it, right? Well lucky for us we have seen some more powerful Android handsets arriving in the pre-paid market, so you can now slash the price tag without giving up a whole lot when it comes to the device. ZTE has recently released the Warp, a Gingerbread powered device with a 4.3-inch display that carries a rather affordable price tag of only $199 with no contract needed. Could a device at this price point hold up in comparison to others that have released recently? Let’s hit the break and break it all down. The ZTE Warp offers a great combination of nearly the most current OS (no ICS) along with a nice large display without breaking the bank. ZTE's record in Android has yet to be established here in the United States -- with U.S. carriers, so we are unsure what to expect as far as upda...
