By having a Sling Adapter connected to my DISH DVR, I have the ability to stream any of my live channels (even those with football on) or I can stream DVR recordings too. As an employee I think it is one of the coolest things DISH has ever come out with and I was happy to pay $30 for the adapter, especially when they used to be $99.
