When Will the iPad 2 Release in Canada?

According to a press release from Apple, the iPad 2 will release in Canada on March 25, 2011 at 5:00 pm. Preorders will be available online starting at 1:00 am on the 25th, as well.

Apple Retail Stores and Apple Authorized Resellers (Best Buy, Future Shop, London Drugs, etc) will be the main purchase points.
iPad 2 is cheaper than the original iPad. The new prices are:
- 16 GB WiFi: $519 (CAN)
- 32 GB WiFi: $619 (CAN)
- 64 GB WiFi: $719 (CAN)
- 16 GB WiFi + 3G: $649 (CAN)
- 32 GB WiFi + 3G: $749 (CAN)
- 64 GB WiFi + 3G: $849 (CAN)

The iPad 2 is Apple’s second iteration of the popular tablet device. Upgrades to the iPad include a thinner design, faster processor, front and rear-facing cameras for FaceTime chat, and the new iPad Smart Cover.
Early inventory is expected to sell-out quickly at the authorized resellers, but Apple Stores will likely have backup inventory for the weekend. If you can’t wait to get your hands on the iPad 2, you can take your chances at one of the retail locations. If you can wait, ordering online may be your best bet.

Good Afternoon Class! I’ve been a bit slack in my  BlackBerry 101  lectures as of late – I blame the  Smartphone Round Robin , all the  Contests  we’ve been running on the site and the busy Holiday Season. My apologies!
