Kaspersky internet security is one of the most effective and up to date security tools available in the market. Kaspersky Internet Security is developed by Kaspersky Labs, it is a Russian computer security company which was founded by Natalia Kaspersky and Eugene Kaspersky  in 1997. It offered a wide array of computer security products like antivirus, anti spyware, anti malware and anti intrusion programs. Kaspersky Lab was ranked as fourth largest global vendor in antivirus products by IDC in 2008. Kaspersky became the first Russian company to be included in software top 100’s 2009 edition of the world’s software company rankings.
Kaspersky Internet Security is an internet security suite developed by Kaspersky Labs. It is compatible with Microsoft windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows Seven.  Kaspersky Internet Security can detect and remove malware, email scam and is also loaded with a phishing filter.
The first version of Kaspersky Internet Security was released in 2007, it was named Kaspersky Internet Security version 6.0. Upon its launch it received a very positive response both from its users and critics. Its performed efficiently and soon became one of the top internet security suits available in  market.  Talking about the performance, it successfully detected 97.5 percent of adware samples. Thanks to its advance scanning feature, it can scan compressed and hidden files detecting 83.3 percent of hidden malware.  The interface of version 6.0 was a bit awkward and difficult to navigate, Kaspersky Internet Security was believed to produce a high rate of false positives, which means it often labeled safe or securer programs as a potential threat but this problem can be countered by downloading the latest definition files and constantly updating the security suite. Still the implications of false positives reporting cast a bad influence on computer’s performance and it was considered to be a major drawback of Kaspersky Internet Security. Kaspersky also didn’t give the parental control and instant messaging protection feature, something that its competitors Symantec and McAfee were offering.
In 2008 version 7.0 of Kaspersky Internet Security was released. This version was found to be much better, faster and far more efficient as well as user friendly as compared to the previous version which lacked some important GUI based features. Some of the components were renamed like Anti Hacker Module became the Firewall, Anti spy module was incorporated inside the security module.  The new features introduced included parental controls with different settings for each age group. Inside age categories there are other content categories like drugs and violence. This advance feature gives user the ability to manually configure profiles. Kaspersky Internet Security filters content at the network layer, making it effective on each and every browser. You can also block entire sites, and can monitor the activity of user on internet. Internet access can be limited according to pre defined schedule . Kaspersky Internet Security gives you the ability to block chat rooms. Spam filtering and prevention is also highly efficient. The internet security suite can be integrated with Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express and Windows mail. Kaspersky Internet Security analyzes and scores the email content. Emails with scores above two threshold levels are categorized in two groups, the Spam group and probably scam group.
The powerful Mail dispatcher features allows user to see subject and sender information in mail so a user can allow or block mails depending upon these details, it also has the ability to read text inside the email and block the email depending upon the scanned text. Protection against malware was further improved in version 7, Kaspersky Internet Security version 7 effectively blocked 100 percent of the threats and successfully detected the rootkits. Firewall performance was also remarkably impressive and it blocked all of the incoming connections. However the issue of false positive still remained unresolved.
In 2009 the version 8.0 of Kaspersky Internet Security was released, it consisted of an even more improved and less complex user interface. The antivirus engine was updated; a vulnerability scanner and application filtering modules were added to further improve the efficiency of the internet security suite. The scanning speed was also improved by the use of new antivirus engine without compromising on performance and security. The version 9.0 was released in 2010, it did not included any modifications or up gradation except the fact that it now supported Windows 7.
The latest version of Kaspersky Internet Security is version 11. It is still a beta version and Kaspersky has released two critical fixes. It has a new user interface and gadgets for windows 7 and windows vista. The other notable features of Kaspersky Internet Security Version 11.0 are:

How to Reload Operating System on Nuked or Bricked BlackBerry

Good Afternoon Class! I’ve been a bit slack in my  BlackBerry 101  lectures as of late – I blame the  Smartphone Round Robin , all the  Contests  we’ve been running on the site and the busy Holiday Season. My apologies! This will be the last 101 lecture of the year… but we’ll be back in 2008 bigger and better than ever. Today’s lecture isn’t really a “newbie” topic, but it’s one that I wanted to cover because in the past three weeks I’ve gone through it half a dozen times and that is  Reloading the Operating System on a BlackBerry that’s totally “Nuked” . I’m not sure if nuked is the technically appropriate word for it (I also use one that starts with an F and ends in an ED and has a CK in the middle), but it is how I refer to a BlackBerry that is stuck in a permanent reboot cycle and is completely, completely unusable. With a Nuked Berry, essentially the device turns on (red LED comes on for a few seconds), then you see the white screen with the hou...

Best Ipad and Iphone Photography Apps

Longtime Exposure Calculator Price: Free/ Available for iPhone, iPod touch, iPad Long-exposure photography fanatics will know that an ND filter can be essential when it comes to extending exposure time for those all-important open shutter shots. Longtime Exposure Calculator by HPR-Solutions is a free iPhone,iPad and iPod touch app that enables you to dial in a projected shutter speed to one column and then 'add' an ND filter as graded in both f/stops and filter names (eg 3 stop or ND8) in the other column. The app then calculates the adjusted exposure. While it is, in part, possible to TTL meter with an ND filter attached to the front of a camera's lens, the results won't always be accurate, and there's a point where things get so dark that it's not possible - especially with in-vogue super-dense filters. Having an off-camera calculation method such as this makes it quick and easy to figure out exposures without so much as needing to put those brain...
