Pandora is a perennial crowd favorite for fans of streaming audio. This app allows you to create personalized radio stations based on artists or songs you like. For example, if you like the Misfits, Pandora will stream music from the Misfits and other similar artists or songs. Current Pandora users can log in on their Android devices and have mobile access to all their saved stations.

Rhapsody is hugely popular among Android users. This application gives users access to an enormous library of music for streaming, on-demand use. Users can also download MP3s they discover on Rhapsody. This app's library includes around 9 million songs; subscribers (who pay $9.99 per month) get access to the entire catalog, including downloads and music videos. This brilliant app lets you port your iTunes library to any device. It's free, it's simple -- it's easier than other apps that basically ask you to root your phone -- and it worked like a charm when we test-drove it on a Droid. We've heard that for music lovers with massive iTunes libraries, this app can take a while to work -- but what did you expect with a bajillion gigabytes of music! Find it here.

We haven't road-tested Songbird ourselves, so we're not sure how much hacking, if any, it'll take to get rocking. But at the low, low price of free, it's worth a shot.
